Today I'm happy to release Hostbuddy 2.0 into the wild. It's a brand new version compatible with macOS 10.14 Mojave (and going back to 10.10 Yosemite).
The new highlight feature of this release is Remotely Hosted Hostfiles. With this feature you can create a new host group that points to a URL anywhere on the internet. Then, Hostbuddy will automatically download that hostfile's contents to your local machine and keep the two in sync from then on. It's a great way to subscribe to a shared hostfile. This can be super useful for businesses that need to share a list of development/staging/production server domain names and IP addresses. Or, you can subscribe to an ad blocking list that zeroes out all those pesky online trackers.
This new version is a paid upgrade available for $15 to existing customers.
